North Carolina Real Estate License Requirements. North Carolina is a single licensure state and only issues one type of license, a BROKER license. The Broker Prelicensing Course involves a minimum of 75 classroom hours. North Carolina prelicensing and postlicensing courses are offered by live instruction only.
